UIWtv is a multiple Lone Star EMMY® Student Production Award recipient. The award-winning student-run station is dedicated to providing the University of the Incarnate Word Community with a variety of quality programming that informs and entertains, while promoting the same core values and mission of the University. Students at UIWtv produce live newscasts, specialty shows, and Spanish segments. Students receive hands-on training in live broadcasting, camera operation, interviewing skills, and on-camera performance. UIWtv also provides students with real-life production experience in remote broadcasting. UIWtv was awarded “Best Overall Organization” on Campus in 2021 and received the Dr. Marjorie Yambor Signature Station of the year award in 2022.
