October 6, 2022 -Meet the Mission is a campus-wide volunteer day.
Every September, on Meet the Mission day, University of the Incarnate Word students and employees volunteer in the San Antonio community.

“I feel like now, I’m more aware of the things we can do as a community to help families and impact others, it doesn’t have to be anything big, but even the small things can help to contribute.” – Mandujano (UIW Volunteer)

The Ronald McDonald house was one of many organizations that benefited from Meet the Mission. The Ronald McDonald House provides families with sick children a place to stay when traveling to San Antonio. The facility currently houses more than 20 families.
“Some of these families are in the hospital all day, and they don’t think about, what am I having for dinner, so our volunteers help fill in those gaps and we definitely appreciate all that” – Vallejo (volunteer coordinator)

This year will mark the eleventh anniversary of the University of the Incarnate Word’s first Meet the Mission day.

Meet the Mission will return next year in September 2023.
